InTouch Overseas
📿 Marriage Support Project (Pakistan)
Due to crushing poverty, countless families in South Asian countries are unable to afford the marriages of their daughters and sisters. Sadly, some families feel forced to take extreme measures — including suicide — under intense societal pressure.
InTouch Foundation has launched a Marriage Support Project in Pakistan to support such families by providing essential items in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). These include clothing, utensils, bedding, and some financial assistance for marriage expenses.
Depending on the region, support may cover individual or group weddings. A typical wedding day costs around £300, with an additional £200–£300 for gifts that support a young bride or groom starting their life.
🌍 Ghana Projects
In Ghana, InTouch Foundation is working with local stakeholders to create sustainable livelihoods and address malnutrition in vulnerable communities.
We help families in poverty establish small enterprises — such as chicken and cow farms — that allow them to become financially independent, with special focus on the community in Kumasi.
In 2016, in partnership with Ustadh Alyas Karmani, InTouch Foundation distributed over 2,000 Eid food packs to families in need in Ghana. Additionally, 500 meals were served to Muslim and non-Muslim prisoners in Manhyia Prison.
During Qurbani, we distributed over 700 food packs to families in rural villages — an atmosphere filled with joy and gratitude. Alhamdulillah, the community spirit was inspiring.
"Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set free the captives."
– Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Hadith 552
"(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: 'We feed you for the sake of God Alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.'"
